George Sayers was well known golf pro from North Berwick Scotland that emigrated to US in 1913, becoming head pro at Merion Golf and Cricket Club. He soonafter recruited some scottish brethren as 'hand made' clubmakers. These irons are in good condition and demonstrate the design skill of George, including the headweight distribution to sole and toe. Excellent aesthetics with overhosel shaft and small brass connecting ferrule. Shafts have some tarrnish but fair/good chrome sparkle. Replaced rubber grips are good. 5 iron at 37 1/4".
