Fine condition for this classic dual cavity 1988 set with the expected Nicklaus technology theme. The 1800 referred to moving the head's center of gravity (CG) 1.8" from the shaft tip - often the true CG on irons is closer to the shaft by a few tenths of an inch so a true 'solid hit' is usually inside from where you think it ought to be (this is true in other clubs as well, particularly putters like the bullseye series). The head size is large and the iron soles have scoop instead of bounce (this was supposed to reduce the ill effects of fat shots). The shafts have low kick points designed to add kick when the head squares at impact. Metalwoods (CS models) (1,3,5) with few scuff marks on soles and extra-fine regular flex Velocite graphite shafts - these are S/N matched. Very fine S/N matched irons 3-PW with like-new Velocite dual action 6.5 firm (measure closer to 6.0) steel shafts with great ferrules and bands. Early models of these clubs had barrel hosels instead of ferrules - the ferrules definitely refine their look. New grips. 5 iron 37 1/2".
