A true set of musclebacks from NJ manufacturer Kroydon from the early 1940's. Matched 2-9 are complimented with a 'pitcher blaster', a wedge term used by Kroydon for their early wedges. Heads are amazingly fine. All ferrules perfect. Hump shafts fluted about 3" up from ferrule - only the 6 iron with chrome chipping around fluting - otherwise shafts are very fine. Orange shaftbands only remnants. The stepless shafts taper out towards grips (they had another version with a uniform skinny OD the full length above the fluting) Grips appear to be replaced with old style rubber strips and tape for collar - an 1950's approach even though slip-ons had been available for many years. The shaft chrome runs well past the collar so new shorter grips could be used without cosmetic taping. 5 iron 37 1/2".
