Powerbilt forerunners from H+B's Grand Slam line introduced in the 1920's. Amazingly good original unretouched
crowns on both woods. Each with good whipping and 2 inch ferrule with green ring. Each with good 'Temper
Step Down' steel shaft showing good sparkle and good abbreviated shaftbands. Excellent leather wrap grips
with caps and collars in place. The Model 23 was sold in the late 30's but with a cross hatched face. In 1940, the Model 24
was designated the 'Pebble Beach' with the design as shown in the images. The Model 23, same year, was designated the 'Pine
Valley' but was cross hatched w/o the insert. These were 'war years' production models and the assumption is certain
design components were substituted regardless of catalog description. This Model 23 has the Pebble design and should be considered such.
The woods are playable as is or conversational.
